The program guide includes the documents you need to complete the program, earn a learner's permit and, eventually, a provisional license.     In addition to the immediate download, if you selected the PTDE guide to be emailed, you will soon receive an email with an additional link to download the packet. Check your spam or junk mail folders if you do not see the email in your inbox. If you selected the PTDE program guide to be mailed, allow up to 14 days for delivery by USPS after the Texas Department of Licensing and regulation has processed your request.

  3. BEGIN. Once you have received your PTDE education program guide and reviewed the course requirements, you can move forward with the online course material from the licensing department.
